I used Gala apples this time, because it was all I had on hand, but Granny Smith I'm sure would be delicious for a tart/sweet combo.
Apple Crisp

Serves 6-8
4 cups apples, sliced or cubed
1/3 cup sugar (or honey sucanat)
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Crumb topping:
3/4 cup brown sugar (or honey sucanat)
3/4 cup flour (or 3 oz Soft White wheat flour)
1 pinch salt
1/3 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup nuts, chopped (optional)
Slice or cube apples and toss with lemon juice. Set aside.
In a bowl mix together the sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Pour over apples and stir until thoroughly mixed. Pour into greased 8x8 baking dish.
Mix together topping ingredients. Sprinkle over apples.
Bake at 350ºF for 1 hour, or until golden brown and bubbling. Enjoy!

Just came across your blog via Meagan's... I'm going to have to try some of these recipes out surely! Especially to impress the inlaws when they visit. :-) Looking forward to reading many more!
